Barvio

How do I get a logo into a barcode?

Short answer

By letting the motif act only above a locked scan band and never touching a bar width. A continuous band of at least 60 percent of nominal height stays at the bottom and carries the code on its own. Everything above it is yours to design, and the finished code is read back before you can download it.

  1. Enter the number

The check digit is validated immediately. A wrong number is never corrected silently.

  2. Pick a motif or upload a logo

From the library or as your own file, SVG, PNG or JPG. Your file never leaves the browser.

  3. Set the height

The taller the code, the more room above the scan band. The band itself stays untouched.

  4. Wait for the check

Two independent decoders read the code back, at several sizes and again with simulated print blur.

  5. Download

The file appears only once the check has passed. Without it the export stays locked.

What works with a logo and what does not

Only the outline acts, no colours and no interior detail. A line drawing is therefore turned into a solid shape automatically, otherwise nothing recognisable would survive between the bars. Fine wordmarks and delicate patterns give no usable result, and the preview shows that before you invest any time.

Rights to the logo

Uploading your own logo is expressly intended. Printing somebody else's trade mark on your own goods is not, which is why the library ships no third-party marks at all, not even as an example.
